Iker Casillas was impressed with his compatriot David De Gea(DDG) after he proved to be the major reason why Manchester United left Carrow Road with all three points. De Gea was in outstanding form as Manchester United were fortunate to escape with a 1-0 away win over bottom team Norwich City when the two teams met in the Premier League for the first time this season.

Star man Cristiano Ronaldo proved to be the man responsible for the winning goal as he scored from the penalty spot in the final quarter of the game to take his Premier League tally to seven goals and two assists. Ronaldo was adjudged to have been fouled by Norwich City right-back Max Aarons and he stepped up to score the spot kick awarded.

Apart from Iker Casillas, Ex-Manchester United midfielder Andre Herrera of French Ligue 1 leaders Paris Saint Germain (PSG) also congratulated theRed Devils shot stopper on a brilliance performance against the Canaries. Herrera and De Gea are compatriots and they shared the dressing room at Old Trafford for many years, while De Gea and Casillas fought for the number one jersey in the Spanish senior national team before the latter retired after 167 caps.

Spanish shot stopper De Gea and the Manchester United defence have tightened up defensively going by the two games under new manager Ralf Rangnick. In the first league game under the German, Manchester United beat London team Crystal Palace 1-0 at home with the only goal of the game coming from Brazilian midfielder Fred. The Palace game was followed by the Norwich City game away from home. Rangnick was also in the dugout for the final group game in the Champions League, a 1-1 draw with Swiss champions Young Boys. It must be pointed out that the German rested a lot of his big hitters for the Young Boys game.
